Women’s Taekwondo / Self Defense Class

CLASS DESCRIPTION

A weekly Taekwondo / Self Defense class developed for women.  This class will teach the art of Taekwondo (World Christian Taekwondo Federation), Situational Environmental Security Awareness and Defense, Pressure Point Control Tactics, Ground Avoidance and Ground Escape, and overall aerobic physical fitness.  Participants will work toward a black belt in traditional Taekwondo (WCTF).

INSTRUCTORS

Special Agent Darin Archer, 1st DAN Black Belt (WTF and Youn Wha Ryu), Certified PPCT, GAGE, and SHARP Instructor

Officer Mark Stephen, 4th DAN Black Belt, Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu Instructor

WHEN

Class will meet each Thursday from 6 pm to 7 pm.  Classes will start the first Thursday of January, 2009.

LOCATION

North Little Rock Police Athletic League Levy Center.  The center is located behind the North Heights Recreation Center at 47th and Allen Streets.

COST

The cost of the class will be a $25 per month donation to the North Little Rock Police Athletic League.  This money will go directly to benefit the NLR PAL youth programs.  This donation is also tax deductible.  Please make checks payable to NLR PAL.  You will also be responsible for purchasing your taekwondo uniform and belts.  Uniform cost will average $35.  Slots are limited.  This will be a first come first served basis.  Please do not delay.
